Directions to event: Directions to the Martinez Athletics Center(Gym): From Interstate 275, exit at Ashley Street/Downtown West. You are now on Ashley St. Turn right at the first traffic light, Tyler. Tyler merges into Cass as you cross the Cass Street Bridge. Turn left at the next light North Boulevard and find the Martinez Center on the right. From Kennedy Boulevard (Route 60), turn north onto North Boulevard, travel three blocks and the Sports Center is on the left.

Event Description

On September 24, the night before the new global goals are announced, thousands of people will stand as a beacon of light calling on world leaders and citizens alike to light the way to ending extreme poverty and take part in a global rally. Dr. Denis Rey, Vice-President of the United Nations Association of Tampa Bay, will be talking to us about how WE can make a difference from right here in Tampa Bay. And we're going to be doing an installation of each of the 17 Global Goals, by lighting them up by flashlights by flashlights, or cell phones!
