Directions to event: If you're taking the train or bus, please note that the closest transportation hub will likely be Stonewall so you will need to allow time to walk after arriving. This is a very helpful site: http://charlottein2012.com/transportation/ I encourage you to take public transit so you can avoid the chaos, backwards one-way streets and security check points. However, if you elect to drive, please triple your usual drive time. Also, please do not express any partisan thoughts to the media while wearing our logo. 2. We have fun, but we’re always respectful. Sometimes we’re a little pushy so we can get a good picture, but we’re always polite. Our members are welcomed at political rallies because we work hard to build trust with everyone we come in contact with. Please carry on our tradition!

TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY & THURSDAY: Join us for Hardball on MSNBC at
The EpiCentre Courtyard (101 South College Street, Charlotte, NC) from 4pm – 6pm on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Our goal is to get ONE on TV! The MSNBC stage will be set up near the elevators and they will have a fence around the stage that we line up against. They pan a lot to the crowd during the show and even interview spectators (like they do on the Today Show). They shoot from 5pm – 6pm, but we want folks there at 4pm so you can get your shirt/hat and a good spot against the fence. There’s strength in numbers, so the more people in ONE shirts, the better!

WEDNESDAY (Tentative): Join us for the Morning Joe watch party. This is tentative as I will scope out the EpiCentre on Tuesday to see if this activity is worth our time. It'll be outside BlackFinn at The EpiCentre (210 East Trade Street : Suite 120-B : Charlotte, NC) on Wednesday from 7am – 9am. Our goal is to get ONE on TV! Morning Joe is shooting inside BlackFinn, but the restaurant is charging money to stand inside. We’ll set up outside at the “NBC Experience” which is an interactive experience. There should be a TV to watch Morning Joe, button making stations, and a photobooth. You might also spot a famous person going inside for an interview. The camera will occasionally shoot outside and sometimes the hosts go outside for the end of the show.

THURSDAY: Help us table and sign up new members at the International Affairs Forum: "Global Responses to Poverty and Human Development" at the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center: Belk Theater (130 N. Tryon St., Charlotte, NC, 28202). We need help on Thursday from 9am – 10am & 11:15pm – noon. Even though the folks going to this forum already care about foreign affairs, you need to like approaching and talking to people if you come out for this! Tickets for this event are sold out, but I think we can get you in (not 100% sure). We only need 4 volunteers for this.
