Event Description

MILWAUKEE! We're going to be at the African Cultural Festival for the first time ever! We will be tabling at this event in support of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, TB and Malaria. Our goal will be to get letters to Senator Ron Johnson to fully fund this life saving program.

Since being founded in 2002 the Global Fund has saved the lives of 27 million people, including children who are alive today because their mothers took the life saving drugs and didn't pass HIV to their child.

Unfortunately, the Administration has proposed cutting the US's Global Fund contribution by 1/3. This would put 1.5 million lives at risk. This is not acceptable.

That's why we're fighting back and working to get Congress 'On the Record' in support of the Global Fund. If you sign up we'll get you details, a shirt and we'll table from 11-8 on Saturday, July 13th. If this is your first time doing something this, don't worry.
