Film Africa returns for its 10th edition, with BFI Player Subscription exclusively presenting online seven features from an exceptional 2022 programme.
Highlighting filmmakers and stories from all corners of the African experience, these films go to the heart of significant continental issues, connecting historical events with contemporary concerns.
And these are films with the willingness to challenge forms, stretch technique and push beyond existing tropes; rethinking narratives of migration, grappling with the aftereffects of trauma and interrogating the very idea of family.
