Over 8 weeks, our cake travelled 1,000 miles from Glasgow to London, through 12 towns and cities. At every stop, people added candles and wrote messages on our giant birthday cake. Every message was different, but every one came from the same place: the belief that every child deserves to celebrate their first, fifth and fifteenth birthday.

Then, at the finale, our cake floated right outside Westminster, lit by 1,826 candles. One for every day it takes a child to reach their fifth birthday.
