The United States should not surrender in the fight against AIDS!
Despite 15 years of strong, bipartisan American leadership and incredible progress in the global fight against AIDS, the Trump Administration appears ready to trade the iconic red ribbon for the white flag of surrender.
President Trump’s proposed cuts would require PEPFAR to implement a strategy that would reduce the number of people added to treatment each year by a third and could trigger a resurgence of the epidemic.
It is critical that Congress and the White House not squander the progress that it has made possible, and continues to fully fund America’s irreplaceable leadership in the fight against AIDS.
Tell Congress not to wave the white flag of surrender.
America’s bipartisan leadership in the global fight against AIDS has been without parallel in history, and has saved millions of lives. Please continue to reject the Administration's steep cuts to the global AIDS fight and maintain funding for PEPFAR and the Global Fund at 2018 levels so that PEPFAR can continue adding people to treatment everywhere it operates. Be the leaders that ensure we continue to lead the fight, not that waves the white flag of surrender.
