STOP Boris Johnson from scrapping DFID!
**UPDATE: On 13/02 the junior Ministerial teams of DFID and the Foreign & Commonwealth Office were merged as part of the Government reshuffle. Although DFID is still led by a Cabinet Minister, this shake up of DFID’s Ministers signals that our fight for DFID isn’t over.**

Through DFID, UK aid is some of the most effective and transparent in the world and helps the people who need it most.
We need to act fast. Stand up for the world’s poorest people and add your name to this urgent petition, asking the Prime Minister to protect DFID.
Through DFID, UK aid helps the poorest people, in some of the world’s hardest to reach places. Without a dedicated department and a Secretary of State leading our development work, we risk backtracking on the incredible progress we’ve made in ending extreme poverty.
We are calling on you to protect DFID and keep it as an independent department.
