Jeremy: Make our financial system fit for people and planet

The climate crisis isn’t going anywhere. As its impacts intensify, every country will need the tools to keep people safe, fed, and healthy. But many of the most climate-vulnerable countries are being forced to spend those life-saving funds on debt repayments instead.

The World Bank could help make our financial system fit for people and the planet. It provides cheaper loans and grants to countries who need them most - but not enough of them. It needs to change its approach and free up more funds to rise to the challenges ahead.

Jeremy Hunt will meet with World Bank and other government leaders in a few days, and we need him to take concrete action to reform the Bank. We can pressure him to act if many of us raise our voices: join us and send an email to the Chancellor today, it will only take a minute!
