Urge all UK party leaders to stand by climate action

A few weeks ago, a leaked report signalled that the UK government was planning to break its promise on climate funding to the countries facing the worst effects of climate change.

Since then, together with 90 other organisations and thousands of supporters like you, we put pressure on the Government. And it worked - our government confirmed they’re sticking to the pledge and will publish a plan in the autumn.

However, it looks like the UK is off track to meet the targets it has set. What’s more, in recent news we’ve seen stories about UK political parties backtracking on their environmental commitments. With an election on the horizon it’s even more important that parties make and deliver bold pledges that reflect the scale of the challenge we all face.

We can’t stop now. We have to keep putting pressure on all UK party leaders to be ambitious about the UK's climate commitments to countries on the frontline of the climate crisis.
