Join us in supporting life-saving vaccines!
When a child is protected from infectious diseases, they can go to school, their parents can go to work, and their community can thrive.
Over the past two decades, the world has made remarkable progress in vaccinating children thanks to Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance. Since its founding in 2000, Gavi has helped prevent over 18.8 million deaths through its support for routine immunisation programmes in lower-income countries. In total, Gavi has helped immunise over 1.1 billion children.
The UK has played its part, contributing to life-saving medicines globally. Thanks, in part, to British Science and global partnerships, we now have life-saving malaria vaccines which will help protect millions of children.
But the work is not done. Globally, 21 million children missed out on life-saving vaccines in 2023.
In 2024, no child should die from preventable diseases like malaria, pneumonia, hepatitis, and HPV. For millions of kids, a tiny needle can be the big difference between a life of poverty and one of possibility.
Leaders will come together in December to decide how much to invest in this life-saving work and the UK must send a strong signal about our commitment to global immunisation.
