Tell governments to invest in every child’s future
From school closures to the difficulties of home learning, we’ve all witnessed the impact of COVID-19 on our children’s education. Every child deserves a life full of opportunities, starting with learning.
But even before the pandemic, a shocking 90% of 10-year-olds in low-income countries couldn’t read and understand something simple like a health leaflet or a school test. COVID-19 will make this number even worse and girls, in particular, may fall through the cracks. This is a catastrophe for the future of entire generations, unless we act now.
Add your name to our petition urging world leaders to invest in quality education for all children, whether they live in New York City or Nairobi. Together, we can ensure that the children of today can be the doctors, scientists and leaders of tomorrow.
Dear World Leaders,
Please commit to a future in which every 10-year-old everywhere can acquire the essential literacy skills they need to thrive. Protect and expand education budgets and fully fund the Global Partnership for Education so that the most vulnerable children, including girls, are not left behind.
