Happy 25th, AU-EU partnership: Time to decide who you really want to be

ONE's young advocates from Africa and Europe are calling on leaders to choose fairness, ambition, and future generations at this year's AU-EU Summit. Show your support and sign their open letter now!
"This year, the African Union - European Union partnership turns 25. As young activists from across Africa and Europe, we feel like we’ve grown up together.
We’ve seen how far the world has come in just one generation, but we’ve also grown up worried about our futures. We’ve seen debt and high borrowing costs hold countries back. We’ve seen health systems strain and climate risks grow. We’ve seen political priorities shifting just as new medicines become available. We’ve seen young people full of ideas left without the opportunities to use them.
This partnership has the power to shape the future for the better. That means:
- Making financing fairer so Africa can invest and grow
- Investing in health, education, and jobs so people can thrive
- Supporting young people not just with words, but with action
We’re asking you, AU and EU leaders, to take this moment seriously. Before the Summit in Luanda this November, meet with us. Hear what we have to say. Not because we’re the future, but because we’re here – right now – ready to play our part in shaping what comes next and carrying this vision for the next generations."
