EU: Deliver for People and Planet

Every seven years, the European Union lays the foundations for its future through the Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF). This is a budget plan that determines how the EU invests both within Europe and globally. Once finalised, it is almost impossible to change.
The next MFF is now being negotiated, but key pillars like global health, climate resilience, education, and crisis response are at risk of being underfunded.
Your voice can help ensure the EU builds on strong foundations, committing to the investments and partnerships the world needs for a fairer, safer, and more sustainable future.
Dear EU Heads of State and Government,
Europe’s bridges, railways, canals, and public buildings are proof of what happens when leaders invest wisely. The cost of building them has long since been repaid many times over in the prosperity and connectivity they have created.
Now, our world is more connected than ever before. Climate change, pandemics, and conflict do not stop at borders.
The EU has long been an architect of global progress, playing a leading role in addressing shared challenges. That leadership is now being tested. The next EU budget must commit significantly more resources to advancing global progress and climate action. In addition to a moral responsibility, appropriate funding is a strategic investment in a fairer, safer, and more sustainable future for everyone, in Europe and beyond.
Equally important, the European Union must build partnerships grounded in human rights. Such partnerships are essential for tackling global challenges and strengthening security and stability.
Greater investment in sustainable development, humanitarian response, and climate solutions means working together for a more peaceful and just world.
The EU must now decide: to lead the way towards fairness, safety and sustainability, or to dismantle the scaffolding at a moment when its leadership is needed most.
