Share COVID-19 Vaccines With Countries in Need
While some countries are planning booster shots, less than 2% of people living in low-income countries have received even a single COVID-19 vaccine dose.
Why? Because a handful of rich countries ordered far more vaccine doses than needed. In some cases enough to vaccinate five times their population! And despite promises from those leaders to share their doses with other countries, only a fraction of what's needed has been delivered.
This vaccine inequality is not only unjust, but puts us all at risk of new vaccine-resistant variants emerging and sending us back to square one.
Sign our petition telling governments to urgently share their excess doses with countries in need. If all countries work together, we can save lives, stop the spread of this deadly virus and get our lives back.
Dear President Biden,
We are urgently calling on you to share the United States’ surplus COVID-19 vaccine doses with low-income countries. We want the most vulnerable people protected wherever they live and recognize that none of us are safe until we defeat the pandemic everywhere.
