Want to hear something unbelievable?
Less than half of the money we spend on US global aid goes to the world’s poorest countries - the people and places that need it the most.
We’re not asking the government for more money (at least for now…). We’re just asking that the small amount of money we do spend on global aid (less than 1% of the total budget) goes to the people and places that need it the most.
And this doesn’t mean that other countries who need aid won’t get it. It just means that we’re making a choice to spend our money where it will help the most people.
Ask President Obama to commit to giving 50% of global poverty-fighting aid to the world’s least developed countries.
Please commit to giving 50% of US global poverty-fighting aid to the world’s least developed countries. These are the people and places that need it the most.
